welcome to roll to roll technology's virtual exhibit at aincal r2r 2020 conference my name is pedro velasco and i am one of the executives and co-founders of roll-to-roll technologies this year we are participating in the r2r conference with a virtual exhibit and a presentation by my colleague dr otto vince chadri his presentation is on advanced web guiding applications and concepts within the web handling track the presentation is on wednesday october 21st at 11 45 am central time after the presentation there will be a live q and a with the expert panel in the web handling track which will include dr sachadry our company has been in the industry for a little over six years we're a spin-off of oklahoma state university home of the web handling research center our entry into the converting market was spearheaded by our advanced technological developments in sensors and controls for web edge and contrast detection with this we have been able to offer the converting industry a technology that allows for handling of any type of material without the need for calibration increased sensing ranges without loss of resolution through the sensing range inability to tackle challenging applications that are not possible with a traditional sensor and control technology that was available until we came along our product lines are grouped in three categories web guides sensors and controllers in web guides we offer intermediate guides such as displacement guides or offset pivot guides and steering guides terminal guides for unwinds and rewinds and upgrade kits to replace control sensors and actuators on old web guides or new hydraulic web guide systems for our sensor line we have sensors from 48 millimeters to 900 millimeters in sensing range with different light sources to accommodate for a wide variety of applications in web guiding and monitoring our controllers have a variety of options that allow for our customers to adapt to their applications however our strength is in our practical technological knowledge and web handling and our complete focus on solving our customer problems we have solved issues such as measuring the width of a web within a web by using our contrast sensing application guiding different fabric materials without having to stop to calibrate sensors monitoring webs in locations within a converting line that are not accessible to fork style sensors or monitoring multiple threads in a process and so on our technology can be used to detect flags placed for marking defects to detect splices and other defects on the surface of the web we thank you for visiting our virtual exhibit and we hope you have a valuable experience at the conference don't forget to attend the presentation on advanced web guiding applications and concepts and we invite you to schedule a live online demo with us during the show
