The Widest Sensing Range for Edge Detection, and More No Need to Move Sensors to Accommodate for Different Web Widths No more mechanical repositioning of sensors when the web width changes in your converting operation. WPS 900, part of the Roll-2-Roll​® Sensor family, is a versatile sensor with a 901.4 mm (35.49") sensor range. It can accommodate up to 1720 mm (67.8”) of web width change without the need for sensor repositioning. When compared to mechanical sensor repositioners, the WPS 900 can achieve better accuracy, higher productivity, and longer life at a lower cost of ownership. The sensor with the associated Roll-2-Roll​® Controller can track up to 256 edges for a variety of applications. The controller can be connected to industrial PLCs using EtherNet/IP, PROFINET or EtherCAT communication. Industry 4.0 applications are also enabled by built-in web browser.

The WPS 900 sensor provides all the features of the entire Roll-2-Roll​®​ Sensor line including: no setup or calibration, one sided compact sensor housing, high accuracy measurement, one sensor for any material and one sensor for multiple applications. The sensor applications include edge, center, line guiding, width measurement, mark detection, flag detection, thread counting and multiple strip width inspection. It's low profile enclosure allows it to operate in spaces where other sensors cannot.
